How the
Kylmä Plunge Works
Sauna like the Finns do! Cooling down after a heat session is an essential part of sauna bathing. Once you finish in the Kuuma Sauna or Urban Heat Cabin, a 3-7 minute cold plunge causes your body to further increase its heart rate, constricting blood vessels, and inducing an incredible rush of adrenaline and endorphins. Basically, it makes you happier! And whether it’s your first time in the plunge, or it’s a regular part of your routine, a Sweat Shack team member will be available to coach you through the whole experience—you won’t be alone.

Benefits of cooling down
Why Cold Plunge
Participating in a Kylmä (cold) plunge has so many benefits. It releases endorphins, decreases anxiety, increases alertness and energy, and makes you feel more joyful. Many of our guests also report an increase in metabolism! Dr. Rhonda Patrick says that the alteration from hot to cold benefits our health, athletic endurance, muscles, brain, and longevity. While it may feel uncomfortable at first, it gives your body an adrenaline rush. You are more capable of pushing your body further than you think! Cold plunging makes you feel more focused, relaxed, and in step with yourself.
Step outside your comfort zone and experience the benefits of a Kylma Plunge.

Sauna Before Your Plunge
Why Sauna
Enjoying a sauna session before a cold plunge has lots of benefits. It’s been reported that relaxing in a sauna can help boost your immune system, reduce buildup of lactic acid, and improve brain function and mental wellness. It also relaxes you, can improve your fitness, help restore your skin health, and generally help you care for yourself. The combination of sauna and cold plunge has even more benefits, helping your blood flow, sore muscles, and more.
